Daniel and Darrell are twins born in Fort Kent, Maine. Dan lived in Gardiner, Presque Isle, Dover Foxcroft and Bar Harbor, Maine. He married Candy August 2, 1980 in Bar Harbor, Maine. Graduated Foxcroft Academy in 1974 and University of Maine in 1976 with a Associate degree in Law Enforcement. Been employed as a Law Enforcement Officer since high school, working at Dover-Foxcroft PD, Piscataquis County SO, Bar Harbor PD, (for sixteen years and rising through the ranks to Chief of Police for six of those years). In 2010 employed as a Patrol Officer for the City of Bangor. As part of duties, patrols on a Harley Davidson Police Motorcycle. Interest include snowmobiling, skiing, motorcycling, flying airplanes and managing a local tourist entertainment business in Bar Harbor. Obtained a “Private Pilot license and subsequently, an “Airplane Single Engine Land Instrument” rating.
Now retired (2022).

Photos from Kayak trip February 1, 2022. Missy posted: “Camping in the Florida winter. 30’s last night, 40’s tonight but it warms up nicely during the day. Today we paddled a nice stretch of the Withlacoochee River. Tomorrow we swim with the manatees.”
