Cleaned up the last three plastic bottles and a few scraps of Styrofoam. Allan and I saw a huge dolphin! I got off one shot before he submerged!! He was cruising up and down the seawall, and right under my kayak – three times! The junior ducks are getting bigger, the smaller one circled my kayak twice before he moved on, Just curious I guess. No one has seen Nature John in months.

I got back in between storms! It was raining at 6 AM when I awoke, and there is a thundershower here at 11:30 AM!!
I picked up the last bag of floating plastic bottles and cups.
I also tossed a couple more balls to the dogs Elvis and Presley, they love them!

June 27, 2024
Another nice day. Only a bag full of trash, I saw a manatee head and then a tail, it did not resurface. Both baby ducks are thriving.

June 26, 2024
I saw one manatee – for one second.
We have had some thunderstorms come through, the stormwater has pushed through a lot of debris. I spent the morning picking up five – five gallon buckets of plastic bottles! Also a damaged float ring that was submerged and a piece of plastic that was 5 feet by 5 feet!

June 24, 2024
I saw the Black Skimmer again, but at quite a distance. The baby ducks are growing up, they are losing the yellow cheeks! One with mother one and another older with mother two.I met a lady from Ohio, she said it was hotter there than here!

June 23, 2024
A nice day, thunderstorms in the vicinity, but not close (I could hear the thunder though). No manatees, or dolphins. The Black Skimmer was out fishing, I tried to photograph him, but he was too close and too fast…yet he photobombed my photo of a pelican! Then I saw three Black Skimmers flying together! Altogether a great day with the ducks growing up.

Noa came with me today, Marian came as well, but she put in before us and we never saw her!Â
Yesterday I went to a presentation by Beth Forys
Beth regarding the Black Skimmer, then this morning we saw a Black Skimmer here in the Bay fishing!!

June 21, 2024
Another nice day, One junior duckling with two mothers. The first Pileated Woodpecker IÂ have ever seen! Brown Pelicans fishing.

June 19, 2024
A nice day, no manatees though. Two duck mothers with their ducklings though.

June 17, 2024
Awesome day, manatees! A momand three babies!
My camera underwater, it sounded like it was purring! I put the camera under water and she came right up to investigate it! At first you see her eye, the the nose with all the hair sticking up, then she nudged it to check it out.!

June 15, 2024
Another wonderful day. Very humid, I got condensation between my lense and the protector glass and had to remove the glass!

June 12, 2024
Yesterday was windy and rain (I got an inch of rain), today was peaceful and sunny! They are getting rain down south, but nothing but clear skies here!
I saw a Black Skimmer – he went right past me, but did not return, I was ready, but no. They are so elegant and silent as they go along.

June 10, 2024
Another awesome day. The clouds came over about an hour into my paddle, but then left and no clouds at all! Everyone is telling me that they saw dolphins, but I did not see any, noe manatees this morning..

June 7, 2024
Another sunshiny beautiful day.Â

June 6, 2024
No wind at all to start, then a nice breeze.
Manatees! I saw three manatees – actually just their tails and snouts.Â
The Gallinule was still around. Two baby ducks with mom and another mom that was acting as a guard! The single baby duck was still around, he is growing up, but was alone with no adult around!!

June 5, 2024
Kayaking was a little harder today going into the wind, but the wind keeps me cooler!
Allan saw 3 dolphins before I got there and we saw one heading out, no photos as he was under the dock. No baby ducks sighted today. One Gallinule, it has been long time since I have seen them!
