Old months (if you missed seeing what I had on the web page last month – or any month for many years – click here to go back in time!)

Work is going well up on the Savannah River Site. The problems with working with radioactive material are interesting. Everything has to be handled by remote control. The Department of Energy (DOE) has made up a number of remote control robots to do the work – and has made the technology available for anyone to use. We have spent the past month learning what they are doing, this from the 2400 documents they supplied. We toured the site, and stood on top of the “packed up” nuclear material, ready for shipment; and no, I do not now glow in the dark!

I talked with Darrell, and updated his address on the Family Data Page. He has fenced his property and is having a temporary driveway put in. Don and his kids are doing well, Sue, David and Dan are working too hard for me to catch up with them to chat, and Dad is always out running about!

Our house looks ready for Christmas! It will be here soon!

We had a great Thanksgiving, four dinners! First we went to Pam’s parents on Thanksgiving, then we had Pam’s daughter Natalie, Chris, and their newborn Larissa over for a second Thanksgiving. Next we had Jim over for a great turkey dinner (he had no Thanksgiving otherwise), lastly we went up to Dad’s and met with Donald and Darrell and family!
