Subject: fun times

Well last night was pretty eventful! We were attacked last night by 12
mortars/rockets, 3 were shot down in the air by C- Rams the other 9 hit our
base 3 of which landed 50 feet from my room, into another room in the
building next to us and one guy was injured but not bad!! ! I was at work
during this time around 10 pm and we went into an alarm red to take cover. I
guess the day shift guys that were home heard the blasts and the shrapnel of
rocks and other stuff hit our roof and they freaked out! Apparently the
insurgents that set off the rockets and mortars at us had coordinates or
something cause they all hit in our housing complex, after work I went by it
and the windows were blown out and there was a tarp covering where the
mortar came through! Good news is that a little after it happened they were
spotted and shot the hell up by an Apache, so they are now burning in hell
where they belong! This place sucks, but I will make it through it, I guess
since the weather is warming up and it isn’t raining they come out of the
wood work, but we will keep killing them!!

This morning 7 AM, Neal coming into work, snow had just started:

About 8:30, snow had covered the ground:

3PM, snow half melted, but still coming down:

Guys clearing the walks:

5 PM, my car, I decided to start the car and then clean the windshield, so I leaned in and started the car…the windshield wipers were on, and proceeded to dump all that snow into the car!
