November 2024

It has been an amazing time, going to Ecuador, Galapagos, India, hurricane Helene, and hurricane Milton and now the play Geezers. Everything has been topsy turvy, and keeping me very busy. Today November 17 however Marian and Rosemary convinced me to begin kayaking again. And what a day on the water it was! Birds swallowing huge fish and manatees galore.

Juvenile Little Blue, he will get his blue feathers when he molts.

Snowy Egret
Night Heron, I thought he might be Yellow Crowned, but in looking at the photo he looks like a juvenile Black Crowned.
Osprey
Male Anhinga on the light on top of a boat!

The male Anhinga had caught a big fish, the Snowy really wanted the Anhinga to drop the fish so he could grab it!

Female Anhynga

We had paddled up the Bear Creek after watching the male swallow his fish. Then on the way back, the female had also caught a huge fish!  The Anhinga was right there as well!!
