Great news! Nathan and Christine to get married and have a baby! January 2000 is the tentative date for the wedding and the baby tentatively could be named Nate or Natalie. Nate has decided definately go into the Navy and will be sworn in on Friday Sept 24!!! Congratulations to them both!

Denise and I will be going to New Orleans on Oct 2 and 3 for a quick visit. Brett’s wife will be having a baby shower on the 7th but we will be going over a little early. They thought they may be calling the baby Mica or Mike? Will fill this one in as it happens!!

Amy escaped the storm, by moving into their new home! The new home has power, the old does not and may not until Tuesday!!! She and Darren are doing fine. They love the new found space. Their new address and phone numbers are on the Family Data Page.

Nate may go into the Navy! If so he will start Boot Camp on October 2, in two weeks!

Donald has the Floor

Hi John,   The home page looks good now.   I still want to contribute more to the page on my historical search for places and events that link with our genealogy.  I’ll write and scan that stuff sometime.  I saw “Braveheart” last week and that was really interesting, partly because it portrayed northern England in the 1300’s and it was easy to imagine our family fitting in.

Unlike the Floyd-battered east coast and the rainy northwest, things are really nice here in California.  Touches of fall are in the air.  I am recuperating well from my accident in July.  I had my wrist cast off two weeks ago and my splint off yesterday.  It’s good to be able to use my arm again.  Most of my other injuries are history as well.  Thanks for the concern and good wishes.

Stephen and Stephanie are back in school up in Washington and doing well. They both want to learn snowboarding this year.  The new phone number there is on the Family Data Page. After two years of using a cell phone only, I’ve given in and put a phone in the motorhome, mainly so I can access the web from home. The new phone number here is also on the Family Data Page. Later,
Don

We looked at the house on the water around the corner and fell in love with it, but the price to pay was too high. Denise and I decided to wait for a while and see. In the mean time I am very interested in purchasing the lot near David’s home. I showed the aerial pictures I took of it to Denise last night. We had lost the pictures, then I found them -in the CD drive! I may upload one or two later.

I went up and opened Dad H’s home for him last Friday, he got back in good spirits, we were going up to visit next weekend but he already is too busy!!

Things are going well at work, a big presentation to the client Monday and Tuesday, a lot of work needs to be done beforehand though!

Time moves on! We have been busy with family and friends. We spent the afternoon and evening with Dad and Mom L. last weekend. We have been exercising regularly and on our usual evening trek we found a house for sale by owner. Now Denise wants to go look at it this weekend.

Amy and Darren are moving into their new home in New Market, Mryland(see the family data for the address)!

Brett is heavy into his inventions and is anxiously awaiting his new child, due next month.

All in all interesting times!
