Washington w/ Amy

January 21, 2024
Amy and I went hiking this morning, then we went to Tacoma to visit my granddaughter Sarah. Sarah is into roller skating! She is getting her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy!! I did not think to take a photo of the tree of us, but we had a nice lunch.

I flew up to Seattle January 18, 2024 – Amy picked me up and brought me to her house (34 degrees out!).
I built a snowman, removed the hard drives from three old laptops, and did a few things around the house to help out.

Today Amy, Gabby and I hiked down to Lake Washington (36 degrees) where we saw Mergansers, Ducks, Canada Geese, and a Bald Eagle! Then we had breakfast and headed for downtown Seattle where we went to the SPHERES. The Spheres are an amazing botanical garden where we splurged and had chia tea!

Then we drove to Alki Beach in West Seattle (40 degrees), where we got some nice photos of the city  then returned home ia the SR99 tunnel. The tunnel goes under the central city, it is 57.5 feet in diameter, the largest bore in the world! Two lanes of traffic in either direction with room to spare.

We stopped by the park where Amy keeps her kayak, a beautiful park, and then went out for sushi for dinner!

I will add more photos later.
