Dark Pudding and Foamy Sauce

Dark Pudding:
| 1 cup – molasses | |
| 1 egg | |
| 1 cup – sour milk | |
| 1/2 cup (scant) – salt pork – chopped fine | |
| 1 1/2 teaspoon – baking soda | |
| 1 teaspoon – salt | |
| 1 cup – raisins | |
| cloves, cinnamon & nutmeg | |
| flour to make quite thick |
steam for 3 hours.

Foamy Sauce:
Beat together
| 1 egg | |
| 1 cup – sugar |
and add butter the size of a walnut.
Pour over it 1 1/2 cups boiling water and beat.
Serve in small pitcher to be poured over dark pudding.
