Dark Pudding and Foamy Sauce

Dark Pudding:
![]() | 1 cup – molasses |
![]() | 1 egg |
![]() | 1 cup – sour milk |
![]() | 1/2 cup (scant) – salt pork – chopped fine |
![]() | 1 1/2 teaspoon – baking soda |
![]() | 1 teaspoon – salt |
![]() | 1 cup – raisins |
![]() | cloves, cinnamon & nutmeg |
![]() | flour to make quite thick |
steam for 3 hours.

Foamy Sauce:
Beat together
![]() | 1 egg |
![]() | 1 cup – sugar |
and add butter the size of a walnut.
Pour over it 1 1/2 cups boiling water and beat.
Serve in small pitcher to be poured over dark pudding.
