Note from home:We did have a good weekend, the floor on the first living level is down, and I installed a new fan and a new light fixture. Denise painted all the boards for the new casings, etc. We did not get to any tile though. Next will be all the trim (baseboards, crown trim, install the new casings, etc.). We probably will have an installer do the tile, it is a small job, but very complicated, with all the 45° angles, wall protrusions and such. With all the lifting and climbing up and down the stairs, Denise says we will be in great shape by the time we finish this job!

David and Jean are pleased to announce the arrival of their newest
grandchild, Cooper James Wirkala. Born 3:18 AM on July 31, 2001, Cooper
weighed 10 lbs 3 oz. and was 21 3/4″ long.
