Angel Gingerbread
Mix in order:
 | 1 egg – well beaten |
| 1/2 cup – sugar |
| 1/4 cup – molasses |
| 1/2 cup – melted butter |
| 1 cup – flour |
| 1/4 tablespoon – salt |
| 1 teaspoon – vanilla |
| 1 scant teaspoon – baking soda dissolved in 1/2 cup boiling water |
Bake at 375 degrees until a toothpick comes out clean.
