Abijah Locke, born in Falmouth, Me., Sept. 8, 1801, married Dec. 31, 1828, Mary Hall Morse of Camden, Me. (who died in Hackberry, Nebraska). He was a farmer in Falmouth until 1842, then went to Charlestown, Me.; in 1871 he moved to Dayton, Iowa, from there he settled (before 1880) on a Government grant in Hackberry, Nebraska, and finally went to Areata, California in 1883 and died there Oct. 11, 1887.
