Apple Crisp

Here’s what’s cookin’ in Susan’s oven!

Apple Crisp         

4 cups – cooking apples (cored and pared)
1 tablespoon – lemon juice
1/3 cup – all-purpose flour (sifted)
1 cup – oatmeal, uncooked
1/2 cup – brown sugar (packed)
1/2 teaspoon – salt
1 teaspoon – powdered cinnamon
1/3 cup – melted butter

Pour apples into greased shallow 1 1/2 quart baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice.

Combine dry ingredients. Add melted butter. Mix until it as a texture of coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples.

Bake at 375º for 1/2 hour, or until apples are done.
