Aunt Prue with a friend, the retired rector of the Church of the Advent, and good friend of mom’s, Rev. Angelo Popelo whom she served with on the Open Door Ministry of the Advent. The ministry did everything from providing food & clothing as well as managing finances for those receiving public assistance, social security etc-those folks that couldn’t budget & manage (they referred to them as clients).(7)

Below is Chris’s son Josh Stanton (grandson to Gene) a mechanical engineering student at Kettering University who was to Aunt Prudy’s left during the ceremony. This photo was taken as he took 1st place in a scholarship competition. It was a $5,000 scholarship (he did get several scholarships) but this one was special, it was entitled the “Ryder Maintenance Scholarship”. To receive it he had to travel to company HQ in Miami, attend various events, then he received his scholarship from the CEO.
